Extra Charges

In an eCommerce business, it is quite common to levy extra charges on products or shipping methods to enhance your productivity and provide better service to your customers. Through this app, you will be able to create extra charge rules for your products and delivery methods and integrate the same into your online store.

Most e-commerce websites are using conditional logic to add extra fees, initiate discounts, and qualify customers for special prices. Since every country has its own rules & laws for implementing the custom duty charges. Through CommerceUp Platform; you can create the custom duty logic charges based on a country or for more than one country.

To create a new extra charge rule, follow the below steps:

1. From platforms backend, Go to Your Apps -> Extra Charges.

2. In the Extra charge window, click on the "Create New Extra Charge Rule" button.

3. In the pop-up window, fill in all the details like Amount Type (Flat or Percentage), Amount value, Apply on (Subtotal or Total), Free type (Free above or below).

4. Finally, click on the Save button.

5. For example, here we are creating a rule where the custom duty charges will apply when a cart's subtotal is less than 999 INR.

How Custom Duty Charges will show on Online Store? As per the rules implemented; charges will apply when a cart subtotal value is more than 999 INR. Here Extra Charges are showing INR 5.
