How to Add SEO details

How to add meta information to your products, categories, brands, or collections.

Custom Meta tags help Google to provide additional information about your pages. Google uses this information to create rich snippets or enable the sorting of search results. It allows Google to understand the content of your pages so they can appear in relevant searches. Not only this, metatags can boost your keywords ranking. When you include quality keywords in your meta tags, Google is more likely to list your website at higher-order in the website results.

Meta Keywords are a <meta> tag option that could be used to give more information to search engines on what a page is about. A meta keywords element was placed in the Head section of the HTML of your web page, and looked like this: <meta name="keywords" content="Keyword1, Keyword2, Keyword3">

You can add custom metatags for your products, categories, brands, and collection pages. We will add custom metatags one by one for each section and we will start with the products section. How to Add Custom Meta tags for Products? There are two ways to add custom metatags for the products. a) Via Edit Products b) Via Import Section a) Via Edit Products- This method is useful when you have to add meta-information (or SEO detail) to one product at a time. Follow the below steps to add SEO details to a product-

1. Click on Catalog->All Products->Edit Products->SEO Details. You can fill in the meta (SEO) details in the SEO Details section.

Click on the Save button to save the SEO details for your product.

b) Via Bulk Upload (or Import) If you are going to add meta details for the 'n' number of products, then use the option of Bulk Upload. You can upload meta details in bulk by adding the information in the CSV file and using Bulk Upload. Follow the below-mentioned steps to do the same: 1. Click on Bulk Upload->Upload New Products CSV->Upload CSV.

2. Map meta details to CommerceUp meta details field.

3. Click on Save & Next button. And finally, click on the Start Import button.
